  MESSAGE FROM CO-CHAIRS

Dear AMCHAM members,

Join us to hear David Swan, Managing Director of Robert Walters Japan & Korea, talk about the impact of automation and AI on the jobs market.

Fears that advanced technology will lead to the elimination of jobs over time are not unfounded, and this age-old man vs machine debate dates back to the first industrial revolution. However, as employers, as working professionals, as heads of companies and line managers we need reminding that new technologies are still controlled by people, and that we have the power to harness and shape the potential of automation, AI, and other advanced technology.

We have seen the work landscape shift as use of new technology necessitates a change in skill sets, and companies have had to smarten up and adopt new technology.

Today’s talk will examine the impact of automation on the jobs market across various industries, and identify some possible solutions in confronting the changes that lie ahead.

Best regards,

AMCHAM HR Committee Co-Chairs
Michael Conforme? / Eun-Mi Chae / Paul Cho
