LG CNS launches generative AI platform for enterprise customers

By Baek Byung-yeul, The Korea Times - LG CNS launched DAP GenAI, a generative AI service platform for enterprise customers, to help maximize work efficiency in a secure environment, the company said Thursday.

The company said business customers can freely use DAP GenAI by simply installing it on their own servers, cloud or other infrastructure.

As the platform utilizes only internal information assets such as documents and databases held by the companies and allows enterprises to apply various security filters, customers are safe from experiencing AI hallucinations that create distorted content and security issues, LG CNS said.

Customers can choose from four large language models (LLMs) ― OpenAI's ChatGPT, Anthropic's Claude, Google's PaLM2 and LG AI Research's EXAONE. LG CNS said it is considering adding other LLMs in addition to the four models.

Through the platform, customers can create simple AI services such as document summarization and categorization, as well as services in more complex areas such as product recommendations and data-driven report creation.

The company emphasized its platform is easy for businesses to use.

“If a financial company wants to develop an AI service that recommends insurance products for consumers, it only needs to set up the company's customer information database, prompts to search for suitable products and LLMs to make recommendations and answers,” LG CNS said.

LG CNS plans to continue enhancing DAP GenAI so that enterprise customers can select and utilize the best LLM for their services depending on their business conditions.

"We have integrated our generative AI technology capabilities and launched the platform that is easy for customers to use. We will continue to lead the way in helping our customers transform their businesses with source technologies such as generative AI,” said Park Sang-kyun, head of LG CNS' data analytics & AI division.
