Korea - The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea) said Wednesday
it signed a partnership agreement with the Korea Data Center Council (KDCC) at
The Forum of IFC in Yeouido, Seoul, to expand cooperation in the data center
industry.
The agreement aims to establish a framework for
collaboration between the United States and South Korea centered on data
centers and digital infrastructure, while also extending cooperation to
advanced technology and energy sectors.
Under the partnership, the two organizations will
strengthen industry links and promote exchanges of corporate, technological and
policy information. The effort is also intended to help build a sustainable
digital ecosystem supporting South Korea’s goal of becoming one of the world’s
top three artificial intelligence powers.
James Kim, chairman and chief executive officer of AMCHAM Korea, said the partnership will help create a competitive and sustainable
ecosystem needed for the country’s rise as a global AI powerhouse.
