“Reporting from the Korean Peninsula: A Woman’s Perspective on the Changing Media Landscape"

Dear AMCHAM Members,

We would like to invite you to our PWC November event where Ms. Jean H. Lee, the Korea Bureau Chief for the Associated Press, will discuss her experience reporting from the Korean peninsula from Seoul, Pyongyang and beyond.

Ms. Lee is the only American reporter with permission to travel regularly to North Korea, and has made more than two dozen reporting trips to the country over the past five years. This unprecedented access and her extensive reporting career ensure that attendees will gain insight not only into this mysterious country, but also into the role women play in today’s rapidly changing media landscape. The discussion will focus on Ms. Lee’s career path, her experience on the Korean peninsula, and her views on social media and industry trends.
