	ABOUT THE SPEAKER

			David Richarson has lived in Korea since 1985 and helped pioneer the development of the Korean market research industry. As an early provider of market research, David had a chance to do market entry research for most of the major marketing companies as they entered Korea after the market opened in the late 1980s. He later became the main research partner for the leading Korean firms as they entered overseas markets. From 2002 David also assumed regional responsibilities with TNS for China and Northeast Asia and then as the Ipsos Managing Director for Asia Pacific. Today, David has his own boutique market research consultancy that works with international firms aiming to develop their opportunities with Korean consumers. David has been a Governor of AMCHAM and is co-chair of the AMCHAM Marketing Committee which he has co-chaired off and on since 1995. David has also served the international community on the board of governors and as volunteer President of the ECLC, a children's preschool and for six years with the Seoul Club.
