Dear AMCHAM Members,

Come and hear the recent tax changes that may impact AMCHAM members and foreign companies doing business in Korea. As many of you are aware, tax audits and tax assessments have increased substantially over the past year to finance the various social welfare programs and public projects launched by the new Presidential Administration. While the tax authorities have spent a great deal of time last time focusing on Chaebols, underground economy and offshore tax evasion, many foreign companies have also been subject to aggressive tax audits as well. Deloitte’s presentation will highlight what tax law changes may impact foreign companies’ tax position in 2014 as well as suggestions to mitigate additional tax burdens arising from such changes.
