Message from the Co-Chairs

Ever wondered what it takes to be part of a startup and what it takes to get from idea to launch? Are you thinking about starting a company, or are you currently working in an early stage / growth stage company? What are the differences between incorporating your business in Korea vs. overseas designations like the United States? Ever have dreams of listing in Nasdaq or NYSE?

Many early stage company founders comment that they sacrificed critical legal advice at the outset of the venture and then later find out they have lost leverage, ownership and critically, value in their businesses. To assist start-ups and founders at these early yet crucial stages this workshop will provide an overview of essential legal topics to share good practices and to reduce commercial risks.

Some topics that will be addressed include: Starting up (incorporation, NDAs, shareholder agreements,), protecting assets (trademark registration in the US, Korea and worldwide) and early stage fund raising (financial promotion and compliance considerations).

Please join us for this 2-hour to experience the startup journey from a legal perspective.
