EVENT DESCRIPTION
The COVID-19 pandemic has created a slowing or freeze of hiring processes for companies across industries and exacerbated competition for jobs. Job seekers are increasingly forced to rely on unconventional methods to prepare and apply for jobs to get a competitive edge. This session of the Human Resources Virtual Seminar Series will cover hiring trends in today's economy, different methods of searching for jobs and ways to enhance employability. Featuring three speakers covering different areas of the APAC region, this session will provide concrete strategies for advancing your career in the COVID-19 era.

The AMCHAM Human Resources Virtual Seminar Series 2020 was launched to safely provide an in-depth look into the evolving HR industry amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This Series will include multiple sessions from various industry experts leading up to the 2021 Human Resources Workshop. The third session of the Series will take place in December.

About the Speaker

Chan Ngee Key - Senior Consultant, PERSOLKELLY Consulting

Ngee Key is a Professional Career Strategist who is passionate about helping people turn their career aspirations into reality. He leverages 25 years’ experience in business development, marketing, human resource consulting, learning and development, and coaching to help clients unlock their true potential and feel more confident and empowered in their careers. Ngee Key has personally coached hundreds of professionals ranging from mid-career to senior-level executives to maximize their strengths, clarify their career direction, and create more effective job search strategies. Prior to joining PersolKelly Consulting as a Senior Consultant, he founded his own career management coaching and training company and has also worked for Aon Hewitt, Quest Software, Hewlett Packard, and various start-ups.

Ngee Key holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Edith Cowan University and is also a Certified Career Management Coach (CCMC) from Career Coach Academy, USA.

Anna Kim - Account Executive - Korea, LinkedIn APAC

Anna is an account executive at LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional social network. She works on creating opportunities for the global workforce by connecting professionals to be more productive and successful. The LinkedIn Ecosystem, backed by powerful data and insights, provides solutions for companies and organizations to discover, hire, develop, and empower their employees. She focuses on expanding the Korean market by working with clients from all industries and sizes.

Prior to joining LinkedIn, Anna worked at Alibaba Group in Hangzhou, China. She joined the company as a member of Alibaba Global Leadership Academy, a program dedicated to fostering the group’s global leaders who would serve to connect international markets with China. She worked at Tmall Global, AliExpress, and Alibaba Cloud, where her main role was global business expansion and marketing including the group’s debut as a sponsor at the Olympics in PyeongChang. Anna also has advertising sales and business development experience at NBCUniversal and ViacomCBS in New York City.
