Dear AMCHAM and AustCham Members,

The World Energy Council (WEC) and the upcoming WEC Congress in Daegu in October focus on global energy issues via dialogue among ministers, CEOs and industry experts on critical developments in the energy sector. We are fortunate that Dr. Christoph Frei, the Secretary General for WEC, will be in Seoul in May and has agreed to speak to a joint meeting of our two Chambers. The theme of the Congress is “Securing Tomorrow’s Energy Today.” From Dr. Frei’s many engagements with world leaders in government and business, he has a broad perspective on the major energy issues that they see as challenges and business opportunities. We hope you can join us to listen and ask about how Korea can play a role in meeting these global challenges.
