Message from the Co-chairs

Is crisis with North Korea now becoming inevitable? The recent disappointing U.S.-North Korea talks in Stockholm renewed concerns that the window of opportunity is closing to reach a lasting agreement. The North has reiterated that, without progress by year’s end, Kim Jong Un plans to end a self-imposed weapons-testing moratorium, yet U.S. political will is instead increasingly focused on domestic issues. What must happen to salvage nuclear diplomacy with North Korea? The DPRK Committee invites you to a special lunch session with Mr. Joel Wit, an insightful and internationally-recognized North Korea expert with extensive experience negotiating and implementing U.S agreements with North Korea and its leadership. Mr. Wit will discuss this problematic impasse and what chances the U.S. may have to resolve the challenges that now stand in the way of an agreement.
