​Busan is traditionally a more conservative area compared to Seoul. In Busan, though there are multinational companies, those in the expat community are fewer and far between creating a barrier to information exchange. Furthermore, many systems and trends are introduced later here than Seoul which is where most foreign entities are headquartered. As a result, Busan’s business leaders have interest in new trends and strategies being discussed in Seoul and globally. AMCHAM Busan committee will provide business leaders with MNC, local companies with market information and insight, and promotion and networking among member companies. The committee will also initiate productive discussions with government parties, such as the municipal office, with a goal to discuss new directions for the region and to lead investment in the Busan-Gyeongnam region
