Please refer to the FAQ section for any questions. For any other questions, please verify your company's membership with AMCHAM and contact the person in charge of the AMCHAM Business Registration Program through email: AMCHAM VISA TEAM (amchamvisa@amchamkorea.org)

In order to bring Korea closer to entrance of the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, the U.S. Embassy in Seould has initiated a project to reduve fraud, and simplify the visa process experience for all applicants.

AMCHAM is working as an assistant to the U.S. Embassy in the VISA related tasks. Please refer to the U.S. Embassy website (http://www.usavisas.org) for information relating to other short-term visiting VISAs (short-term visit or commercial purpose, /B1, /B2).

If the requirements for applying for a visa through ABRP are the same as applying through the Embassy, what are the merits of this program?
ABRP ensures that you are provided with the most accurate, up-to-date and customized guidelines in filling out your application form. By assisting you in preparing and the required documents line by line, ABRP ensures smooth and expedited processing by the Embassy. As interview appointments through ABRP can be set up in 3-5 business days or less and the visa rejection rate is very low, the program is particularly advantageous for members with urgent plans for business travel to the United States.

I am an AMCHAM member. Am I eligible for ABRP?
We are able to provide our service only to individuals who are registered with AMCHAM under their corporate names, as either Company Member or Special Company Member, as well as their employees.

As an employee of an AMCHAM Company Member, I am eligible to apply through ABRP. Can my family apply as well?
If you are an ABRP-eligible member and have completed more than one-year service, your spouse and children under the age of 21 are also eligible to apply through ABRP. However, in the case you and your spouse already have valid U.S. visas and you wish for your children before their 14th birthday to obtain visas, your children are exempt from the interview requirement and should therefore submit their application material directly to the Embassy. Further details for general applicants can be found at the Embassy's Web site(korean.seoul.usembassy.gov/).

Can I really get a U.S. visa within 10 business days?
Generally, all ABRP applicants are granted U.S. visas within 10 business days (14 calendar days), granted that all application material are in good order. However, the processing period may vary according to the volume of applications. The Embassy is closed for visa interviews every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as on both U.S. and Korean holidays.

Do all ABRP applicants receive a U.S. visa?
The U.S. Embassy reserves the right to accept or deny visas based on their standard criteria, and ABRP therefore does not guarantee U.S. visas. Application for AMCHAM membership solely for the purpose of obtaining U.S. visas is strongly discouraged and will be denied for the reason that it may jeopardize the program's standing with the Embassy.
