  Korea is making enormous efforts to attract foreign investment. A number of governmental and regional organizations have been set up to assist foreign investors with, setting up companies, navigating regulations and all other aspects of establishing and conducting business in Korea. These organizations can also help research potential partners, clients and M&A opportunities and provide a one-stop service for foreign investors or potential investors in Korea. U.S. Embassy Commercial Service
The Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy is the first stop for any American company considering or planning to do business in Korea. The embassy has detailed, up-to-the-minute information on regulations, business prospects, market trends and background information on a host of different topics. They can also provide advice on marketing, joint venture establishment, franchising, licensing - almost any aspect of doing business in Korea. Invest KOREA is a newly-established arm of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), under the 1998 Foreign Investment Promotion Act, Invest KOREA assumes a leading position in fulfilling KOTRA's mandated role as Korea's official investment promotion agency. Busan Foreign Investment Service Center Busan Metropolitan City opened a new branch office of the Busan Foreign Investment Service Center at the KOTRA Building in Seoul on July 7th. The office provides comprehensive consulting services relating to foreign investment, ranging from the provision of investment information and the introduction of investment opportunities and potential business partners to assistance with the relevant procedures to address the grievances of foreign-invested firms.

Seoul Industry Promotion Foundation The Seoul Industry Promotion Foundation (SIPRO) commenced operations on July 1, 1999 with the mandate of encouraging foreign investors to invest in Seoul. The organization provides a foreign investment guide and a one-stop investment service.
SIPRO is a wholly funded agency of the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The foundation is staffed by personnel with a wealth of experience in the field of international investment, officials of the Seoul Metropolitan government and specialists from the private sector. SIPRO operates the Seoul Foreign Investment and Trade Center in Seoul City Hall to meet the foreign investorĄ¯s every need.
