Claudia Chong-Ah Hong is a senior foreign attorney (member of the California Bar) at Shin & Kim, who also advises the firm's management on various strategic matters. Claudia focuses her practice on corporate compliance & investigations, public affairs, and general corporate matters, in particular, providing counsel to foreign-based multinational clients in various industries, including technology, media, and entertainment, banking & finance, retail, and consumer goods. Henry wears a number of different hats at Samil PricewaterhouseCoopers (Samil PwC). In addition to his role as Inclusion & Diversity Leader, he serves as Strategy Leader, Inbound Leader and Tax Markets Leader. He has over 25 years of experience providing various types of consulting services in the U.S. (Washington DC, Chicago, New York Metro area) and Korea. Through his experience serving foreign-invested companies doing business in Korea, Henry has accumulated knowledge and insights on a broad range of business topics and is dedicated to helping his clients solve some of their most difficult and challenging issues. He specializes in providing advice on complex business and tax issues and is a recognized as a leading expert in transfer pricing, tax controversy and dispute resolution. In addition to his day job, Henry serves as Chair of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea.
Nina Michels-Kim, CMA (U.S.), CSCA, is Director of Partnerships, Korea and Japan for IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), a global association of accountants and financial professionals in business. As part of IMA’s Asia-Pacific regional team, Nina advances local partnerships such as the Management Accounting Association of Korea (MAAK), American Chamber of Commerce of Korea (AMCHAM), and the local IMA Korea chapter run by volunteers. To support the accounting and finance profession, Nina promotes training, continuing education, networking, and spreads awareness of the U.S. CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) and CSCA® (Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis) programs. Previously, she served as IMA’s Regional Director for Europe, where she helped establish the Europe region for IMA.
Yunice Kim is an executive director at D3 Jubilee Partners, a leading ESG and impact investor. In this role, Yunice is focused on using a new approach to capital in investing into startups to drive meaningful environmental and social change. She has worked at Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers as an equity investment analyst covering consumer and property sectors. Following her career in the finance industry, she joined ecommerce companies, where she was in charge of business development and strategy. Through her experience, Yunice has in-depth understanding of Korean and global financial/retail/consumer/property markets and broad network of financial/retail/consumer/property industry contacts.
