About the Speaker

[Moderator] James D. Ahn, Managing Director Asia, Clayton Dubilier & Rice

Mr. Ahn joined CD&R in 2011. previously, he was a partner and head of the Asia-Pacific mergers and acquisitions service line at McKinsey & Company. In that capacity, he worked closely with management teams from multi-national companies regarding strategies to enter Asian markets, as well as large Asian companies expanding their businesses outside of their home markets. Mr. Ahn helped establish CD&R’s joint venture in China and serves as a partner at the Firm. Mr. Ahn has a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an M.S. in industrial engineering and B.A. in economics from Stanford University.

Tae Hea Nahm, Co-Founder at Storm Ventures

Tae Hea co-founded Storm Ventures, a VC firm investing in B2B start-ups. He also co-authored Survival to Thrival, which demystifies how to build enterprise startups. He is an adjunct professor at KAIST. He is a frequent speaker on Building Enterprise Leaders.
At Storm Ventures, he was founding CEO and investor in Airespace which was later sold to Cisco for $450m. Storm exits include Berkana (Qualcomm), Com2uS (Korean IPO), EchoSign (Adobe), Marketo (IPO/Vista), MetaCloud (Cisco), RallyTeam (Workday), Sandforce (LSI Logic), Sierra Monolithics (Semtech) and Silego (Dialog). Current Storm investments include Algolia, BlueShift, Haegin, MobileIron (IPO), Pipedrive, Salesloft, Sendoso, solarisBank, Splashtop, Talkdesk, Team Blind, Tekion and Workato.

Richard K. Song, Investment Professional at Altos Ventures

Richard is a member of the Altos investment team. Prior to joining Altos, he served as the CFO of Coupang, an ecommerce company based in Korea, and also the CFO of Hi-Dis, Inc., a manufacturer of mobile components. Before returning to Korea, Richard was the Head of Asia M&A for Siemens AG based in Hong Kong and Beijing. He began his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch in New York and Tokyo. Richard received his MBA from The Wharton School and earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University
