VENUE

Zoom

EVENT DESCRIPTION
In this webinar, attorneys from Bae, Kim & Lee’s Competition & Antitrust Group will discuss the recent amendments to the Monopoly Regulation and Fair Trade Act, which are some of the most sweeping changes in the MRFTA’s 40 years of history since its enactment in 1981. Among the changes, we plan to focus on how the new amendments would impact information exchanges among competitors, cartel enforcement and the role of criminal penalties in regulation of competition laws, as well as civil and equitable remedies for antitrust violations including the introduction of preliminary injunctions. Given the Korea Fair Trade Commission’s active enforcement history, we hope that this would serve as a great opportunity for businesses operating in Korea to understand some of the major new changes and be on the path to considering appropriate compliance measures.
